So long, Peterborough!

First week of tour down! I’ve officially been on the road for a week and it’s been amazing. I still can’t believe that this is my job sometimes. It feels like a vacation.

Yesterday, we arrived in Peterborough and had the evening off. Thankfully, I’m rooming with B, who has the same love for wine and the Food & HG networks that I do, so our night was pretty set. I’m so glad I’m not with someone completely opposite of me, haha. Plus she’s super laid-back – I don’t foresee any drama.

Today, we had most of the day off as our show was at 6:30, so B and I went for a walk down to Value Village to do some thrifting, then we had coffee and chilled out until we had to go to the theatre.

The show tonight went really well! Of course, we had to adjust to a new space (which I’ll have to get used to doing every day over the next 2 months) but overall, I think it went smoothly. It’ll be bizarre doing a normal show again one day, when I can walk offstage and be able to see where I’m going (tonight I got stuck and kept walking into the wall repeatedly until someone pointed me in the right direction) or have use of all 5 fingers. I didn’t realize that those were luxuries until now, haha.

Tomorrow, we head to Richmond Hill for a few days and I’m starting to organize dates with all my GTA friends. I’m so stoked to be able to visit old friends who’ve moved away…and kind of be getting paid to do it, haha.

Seriously, life is pretty sweet right now.
